Registering an Austria Offshore Company
Austria offshore companies need to be established with the Economic Chamber in Austria in order to begin the registration process. This allows a company to be exempt from paying any governmental charges and taxes including stamp duty and capital transaction tax.
The most common type of company that can be formed is a Limited Liability Company (Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung (‘GesmbH’ or ‘GmbH’). The Articles of Association need to be notarized and filed with the business register (Firmenbuch) that is monitored by the commercial court (Handelsgericht).
There is a minimum of one director and one shareholder for registering an Austria company. Additionally, the minimum share capital for establishing a GmbH is EUR 35, 000 with a total of 25%, which is EUR 17, 500, being paid before the company is registered. There is a 25% corporate tax implemented on offshore companies.
Registering and establishing an Austria offshore company is a complex procedure thus it is advised to seek the assistance of a professional consultancy firm. This will enable you to complete this process in line with the jurisdictional regulations.
