Apostille

Apostille is the term given to a special kind of seal that is used used by an authority that certifies a document to be an original or true copy. Countries that are signed up to The Hague Convention (the Hague Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization of Foreign Public Documents) can provide Apostilles. Before the use of Apostilles, to certify a document chain certification would be carried out that required the process of going through four different authorities.
